Lyrics and Music: Sanctuary (original mini-version with mp3)

I’m working on lyrics and music for a song, working title “Sanctuary”. This is the chorus only. Or maybe it’s the whole thing and its just tiny. I created the music using Garage Band on my iPhone on an airplane (biz trip – probably should have been working, but sometimes you just have to get the music out of your head!) I did use “smart piano” for everything that isn’t melody. When I get back from my trip, I’ll work out my own arrangement.

In the meantime, I’d love feedback on music, lyrics, and how it makes you feel – that kinda junk. Sorry, the mp3 is a bit rough.

Sanctuary

I’ll be your sanctuary –
Respite from battle cries.
Just lay your weapons at my feet
and you may close your eyes.
I’ll keep you safe behind my shield
until the klaxon sound
commands us “Wake and gather arms –
return to battle’s ground.”

About oodajunkie's words distract

Don’t bother me – I’m busy cultivating my Tortured Genius persona.
