Haiku: Medusa Speaks

On most Wednesdays I drive to Orange, CA, to participate in open mic poetry hosted by “Two Idiots Peddling Poetry” (see my earlier post for details: http://ow.ly/Cx3qk). Most of the crew have been sharing poems they wrote from a Medusa prompt. I finally wrote one myself:

Medusa Speaks

These are dreads, moron,
not snakes. You are just too stoned
to know the difference.

OK, it’s a Haiku only if you say Diff-Rence.  If you don’t like that, try this version:

These are dreads, moron,
not snakes. You are just too stoned
to know different.

Happy now?

About oodajunkie's words distract

Don’t bother me – I’m busy cultivating my Tortured Genius persona.
