Free Verse: DNA Applied

Usually I can describe why I wrote a poem: a prompt, something made me angry, something made me laugh, someone displayed a passion for an idea or activity and I tried to capture the spark in my own words. In this case, I don’t remember why I wrote this one. It’s likely that I had just been walking around saying “Deoxyribonucleic Acid” repeatedly because it is fun to say.

DNA Applied

    and with mine
    to create
    our own small god
